Demystifying Research Series: Your author identity and how to manage it (Virtual Event)

As a graduate student, what steps can you take to begin to manage your author identity? As an author, what rights do you have to control how your scholarship is used or shared? This presentation will cover the basics of managing your author identity and rights under copyright law. We’ll provide an overview of author identifiers (ORCID, Scopus, and Google Scholar) and discuss common issues to consider when publishing, such as predatory publishing and understanding and retaining rights under the terms of a publishing agreement.
