Publishing Grants for Open Access Monographs (Virtual Information Session)

Are you a faculty member publishing a monograph with a university press? Faculty members publishing a scholarly monograph with a university press may be eligible for an award of up to $15,000 to publish their work Open Access. Join us to learn more about our new Ohio State Open Access Monograph Initiative launching this Fall. The Ohio State University Libraries is funding Open Access scholarly monographs authored by Ohio State faculty and published by university presses. To learn more about this initiative and how to submit an expression of interest, please attend this information session.

Co-Learning & Co-writing as Action Research: Community Wellbeing, Engaged Scholarship, and Creating Futures

This session focuses on co-learning and co-writing processes as action research. These collaborative processes center the wellbeing of communities, engagement of scholars supporting new generations of social activists, and the renewal and expansion of educational and career pathways. Dr. St. John provides concrete examples of co-learning and co-writing that engages students and professors across generations in action research partnerships with community organizations, schools, and corporations that solve emerging social and environmental challenges. He draws from his research designs in K-20 research, community projects, racial and class financial equity research in the US, international policy projects, and empowering social agency among youth in rising generations.

NSF Experiential Learning for Emerging and Novel Technologies (ExLENT) Webinar

Through this new initiative, the Directorate for STEM Education, formerly the Directorate of Education and Human Resources, and the newly established Directorate for Technology, Innovation and Partnerships (TIP) seek to support experiential learning opportunities for individuals from diverse professional and educational backgrounds that will increase access to, and interest in, career pathways in emerging technology fields (e.g., advanced manufacturing, advanced wireless, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, quantum information science, semiconductors, and microelectronics). Role of Industry Experts Workshop

Accelerator Awards pre-proposal workshop to introduce the role of industry experts for Accelerator Awards, who they are, why are they required and suggestions for identifying and engaging them.

The Accelerator Awards program provides funding to faculty and eligible staff for technology development to accelerate the advancement of cutting-edge Ohio State innovations from the university into the marketplace, bridging the gap between academic research and market ready technologies.

Upcoming Accelerator Award pre-proposal workshops provide background information on the program and application process with a focus on the pre-proposal submission. Workshop are delivered by Caroline Crisafulli, director of entrepreneurial education in the Keenan Center.
