Revision of NSF Award Terms and Conditions Implementing Revised 2 CFR (Zoom)
We wanted to make you aware that the NSF Award Terms and Conditions have been updated to implement the revised 2 CFR published in the Federal Register on April 22, 2024, by the Office of Management and Budget. As part of its implementation strategy, NSF has archived the Research Terms and Conditions (RTC), and the NSF Agency Specific Requirements. Unless otherwise specified, the Grant General Conditions (GC-1) apply to all recipients of NSF grant awards, including Institutions of Higher Education, non-profit, non-academic organizations, for-profit organizations (other than Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer recipients), State and local governments, and Tribal Nations.
The updated suite of award terms and conditions includes the:
• Grant General Conditions (GC-1);
• Cooperative Agreement Financial & Administrative Terms and Conditions (CA-FATC);
• Cooperative Agreement Modifications and Supplemental Financial and Administrative Terms and Conditions for Major Multi-User Research Facility Projects and Federally Funded Research and Development Centers;
• Cooperative Agreement Modifications and Supplemental Financial and Administrative Terms and Conditions for Mid-Scale Research Infrastructure Projects; and
• Special Terms and Conditions for Administration of NSF Conference or Travel Grants (FL 26).
The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)/Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Terms and Conditions, International Research Terms and Conditions (IRTC), and Special Terms and Conditions for Administration of NSF Conference or Travel Awards Made to International Organizations (FL 26 for IRTC) are forthcoming and will be issued at a later date.
The revised award terms and conditions will apply to new NSF awards and funding amendments to existing NSF awards made on or after October 1, 2024. You are encouraged to review the Summary of Changes document associated with each set of terms and conditions.

The NIH Grants Process: A Brief Walk-Through for Beginners webinar will take place on May 15, 2024 from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. ET. This event will answer many of the basic questions that NIH frequently hears from newcomers to the process, followed by a live Q&A with NIH experts who will be helping to answer additional questions submitted during the registration process and raised during the event. With over an hour dedicated to Q&A, this is a unique opportunity to get your questions answered. This is a simulive event hosted by the NIH Office of Extramural Research and the NIH Center for Scientific Review. Registration is required and space is limited.

Join us to learn more about our new Ohio State Open Access Monograph Initiative launching this Fall. The Ohio State University Libraries is funding Open Access scholarly monographs authored by Ohio State faculty and published by university presses.
