Publishing Grants for Open Access Monographs (Virtual Information Session)

The Ohio State University Libraries is funding Open Access scholarly monographs authored by Ohio State faculty and published by university presses. Faculty members publishing a scholarly monograph with a university press may be eligible for an award of up to $15,000 to publish their work Open Access. In addition to supporting Ohio State faculty authors through our Open Access Monograph Initiative fund, University Libraries also collectively invests in community-supported Open Access monograph initiatives and programs that can benefit Ohio State authors publishing monographs with a growing number of publishers. Join us to learn more about our Ohio State Open Access Monograph Initiative and other opportunities for Open Access monograph publishing supported by University Libraries.

University Libraries has new Open Access publishing agreements with Elsevier, Royal Society of Chemistry, Springer, and Wiley in addition to our continuing agreements with the Biochemical Society, Cambridge University Press, Company of Biologists, De Gruyter, Institute of Physics (IOP), Microbiology Society, PLOS, Royal Society, and Taylor & Francis. Join us to learn more about our agreements with publishers that provide no cost Open Access article publishing for Ohio State corresponding authors. We will provide an overview of each agreement, the benefits of each for you as an author, and answer questions you may have about Open Access publishing.

Open Access Monograph Publishing: TOME@Ohio State Authors Panel

Join University Libraries and an (in-person) panel of Ohio State faculty members whose scholarly monographs have been funded as part of our TOME@Ohio State initiative to learn about their work and what Open Access has meant for their monographs and scholarship. TOME@Ohio State provides subvention funds to university presses for the publication and wide distribution of Open Access editions of humanities and humanistic social sciences monographs. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about TOME and have a conversation with our panelists about their TOME funded work.  This event is for Ohio State Faculty, Grad Students, and Postdocs.
